I can't remember the exact model number, but there are several very suitable cameras to try. We always use Canon because of the quality and the fact the price is so reasonable at this end of the market. Have a look at the <a target="_blank" href="http://www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/188654/art/canon/mv900-minidv-camcorder.html?srcid=198&mctag=uk_16194#fichetechnique" rel="nofollow">MV900i.</a> We have used these since the '500' as far as I can recall... There is no reason why you can't use any camera you like as long as you can interface it with the computer. The Canopus ADC-100 box is a useful gadget for converting analogue to digital, and if this is for a hobbyist rather than for a broadcast quality film then you can't go too far wrong.
